Behind the Music of Michael Petillo

Born in 1999, it didn't take long for Michael Petillo to first discover music as a passion. He first began playing drums during his spare time in elementary school, before transitioning to guitar at the age of 8. He studied under the direction of Toby Wine for several years, advancing his status to become one of the guitarists in his middle/high school jazz bands, as well as numerous sit-ins at many a local club with older professional musicians. Upon his graduation in 2018, Petillo entered Berklee College of Music in the fall to start exploring musical study outside of performance. There he studied Professional Music with concentrations in Contemporary Writing & Production and Songwriting. He also is the lead guitarist, as well as singer/songwriter and occasional multi-instrumentalist with a band comprised of he and other Berklee students, entitled Champagne Charlie & the Wah Wah's. Michael Petillo is now located in Nashville, Tennessee as guitarist and bassist for hire in both the live and recorded music scenes.
